Style & Beauty Tip of the Day: If you’re a beauty freak like me, aka you MUST look good 24/7 – you primp and you prod even after your 9pm shower, then this tip is for YOU! Relax – the truth of the matter is, unless you have a hot date, the damage you are doing to your hair and skin when you blow dry, flat iron, and powder is irreparable, and for what?! Your confidence, in the confines of your own home? Take it easy. Post-shower, moisturize your face. It will, actually, look pretty, soft and fresh! A different “beauty regiment” definitely, but a HEALTHIER one! Your pores will keep unclogged, and you will give em a vacay til you REALLY need to glam up! And I probably don’t have to remind you how AWFUL any type of artificial heat is for your hair, like the heat that comes out of these new & improved blow dryers and hair irons – you know, the contraptions that can get as hot as 500 degrees! Let your hair dry the au naturale way, even if it’s colored and looks like a big froozball when dry. There are substitute hairstyles you can always throw together to salvage your look. Promise!

Stay Fit Tip of the Day: USE THE STAIRS. Ever heard of the Stairmaster? Newsflash: That thing is based on those annoying things called STEPS! It’s now a work out machine because THEY BUILD YOUR LEG MUSCLES! Work on the 6th floor? Hike it up, girls! Then enjoy your Starbucks frap just a little bit more than the next intern.

Accessory Tip: Deodorant. It’s so vital. Those city blocks can be a killer on a humid day, and so is your after odor at the office. Deodorant is small enough to be kept handy, so do your coworkers a favor and keep it on you.

Hot Prod Tip: Heather uses Tresemme No Frizz Ultra Light Shine Spray as a heat protector before she flat irons her hair. Use a small dollop so as not to affect the texture of your post-shower ‘do.
