DO IT TO IT BB’S

What do you get when you combine the new healthy-it craze with the so-two-years-ago japanese straightening?

THE BRAZILIAN BLOW OUT.

Here’s the scoop on the new AFFORDABLE craze right from the website:

“America’s #1 smoothing treatment – Brazilian Blowout, is the only smoothing treatment in the market that actually improves hair’s condition. This amazing, in-salon treatment takes approximately 90 minutes and the result lasts for 10 to 12 weeks. Unlike other brazilian keratin treatments, our product is washed off of clients’ hair at the end of the treatment, eliminating the 48 to 72 hours wait time. Clients leave the salon with beautiful, frizz-free hair with amazing shine. Brazilian Blowout is a cumulative process; the more treatment you have, the longer lasting the result. To further prolong the result of this treatment, the use of our exclusive aftercare product line is strongly recommended. This product line consists of Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Conditioner and Deep Conditioning Masque. All of these are available at our certified salons as well as our website. This revolutionary treatment is beneficial and suitable for all hair types, especially for damaged and chemically processed hair because it enhances the absorption of the brazilian blowout solution.”

Most local salons are now proficient in the process of the BB, and will run you approximately between $150 and $350, depending on your hair and the quality salon.

The benefits? Ionly lasts 3-5 months, so if you’re completely sick of having gorgeous frizz-less hair, you’re in luck! Unlike the Japanese straightening system, the Brazilian Blowout leaves your hair smooth no matter how you want to wear your hair! Highlighted, straight, curls, up-do, down-do, WHATEVER!

Inquire TODAY!

If celebrities are your incentives for getting off your azz and doin the damn thing, fans of this process include Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie and Ashlee Simpson.

FRIEND RECS! MMM delish!

So I’ve asked some of my girls what their favorite beauty products are, because I realized I’ve been covering the celebrity circuit a little more than the “fashion” aspect of my site as of late, and my friends, that is sooooo not me!

So, that said, back to reality! Here are some of the prods the girls just can’t get enough of:

Hannah can’t live without Escada’s eu de toilette Island Kiss, Palmer’s Cocoa Butter and Burt’s Bees Lifeguard Choice Chapstick. (Although I’ve never owned a bottle of Escada, I can tell you it’s fruity and light and PERFECT for the summer! Palmer’s Cocoa Butter is DELICIOUS and tastes like cupcakes – go ahead and lick your lips, we won’t tell! Burt’s Bees is a perfectly natural and neutral-flavored chapstick. YUM YUM YUM!) And the best news is, you can find both these chapsticks at your local supermarkets and/or CVS. Enjoy!

Heather swears by Frederick Fekkai glossing cream, and she’s a HAIR STYLIST! Good news? You can buy this hair prod at CVS, too! Although this brand will typically tend to cost you a little more, think of it as an investment: you gotta spend a little more to get a little more. And taking good care of your hair in the summertime is ESSENTIAL, since your hair tends to grows nice and fast this time of year! Use the best!

Sara is smitten with Gucci “Her” perfume. Although she’s from Sweden, she purchased this perfume in the USA, and continues to buy now that she’s home! This scent is unique and NOT for everyone! If you’re a little edgier and dig a bit of a masculine, musty hint, this is sooo for you! I, who am usually a fan of the cupcake and vanilla sweet-smelling perfumes LOVE this one! So go figure!

As for me? My suggestions will hit home for many of you, as most of the products I’m about to recommend are GOOD AND CHEAP. A little secret? Much of the makeup you will find at cheap outlets like Claire’s and CVS is the same shiz they bottle up, package nicely, and sell to Sephora for quadruple the price! Buy yourself a Claire’s superpack of eye shadows and brushes – ALL for under $20! The quantity as well as quality is there, girls! Look for makeup in places like Claire’s and CVS, and you will NOT be disappointed!

Happy shopping!

you’re going to LOVE

Matsu Sushi

it’s based in Westport, Connecticut and is just so f ing amazing, you must try.  I love the crunch roll (made of apple, tobiko, tempura shavings plus some rando fish that YOU CAN’T EVEN TASTE – it’s a must try for sushi HATERS), plus their fabulous spicy tuna roll.  The spicy tuna has a mushy consistency, which may deter some, but for those of you who are brave enough to suck it up, you are going to love.

Mouth watering yet? Convinced?

oh. you’re very welcome.
